The chalkboard wall is complete!
I decided against the magnetic undercoating for fear that the wall would end up looking like a refrigerator...& the magnetic paint is stinkin' expensive.
The best part is Lowe's price matched the paint to Home Depot's price & took an additional 10% off. Woot!
All I needed for this project was the chalkboard paint.
This project cost a grand total of $17 & a sore arm to complete.

Next up for this area:
Replace light switch/plates & outlet/outlet plates with black ones.
Someday replace the front door with a glass/wood combination one.
